Mick, Susan & Rebeca Peat welcome past, present Three years have now passed since we took over the Veg Patch, hard to believe we have just come back from our first holiday. We had a lovely week in Majorca, weather was great. It seemed strange using Euros, never had them when we last went abroad. We have now planned our next two breaks, and will be closing for a week in May 2006 and a week in October 2006, hopefully this is a pattern that we can keep to whilst Becky is at school. A recent addition for our customers that has been a great success is the organic fruit and vegetable boxes, that we order in from a local organic farm weekly. These have to be ordered and paid for in advance and are delivered locally on Thursday afternoons. Christmas is fast approaching, as is Becky's 13th birthday four weeks before Christmas. We have sourced our Christmas trees (available from December 5th 2005) from B Whiteley's Farm, in Pudsey, where we get quite a lot of vegetables including pumpkins for Halloween. Next spring we hope to be stocking more of their produce including fresh herbs. In these winter months we also stock nets of logs for home fires - use them ourselves at home. Snow is forecast for this week, maybe we'll get a white Christmas this year.
